PSSA member Phil Cooke will present an overview of Power Scale Soaring and the activities conducted by the UK’s Power Scale Soaring Association since its formation in 1986.

Phil’s presentation will explain what PSS is all about and what draws so many slope flyers to this relatively small - but ever growing - division of the sport.  He’ll cover some of the vast range of slope scale models built and flown over the years and look at what goes into making a successful PSS model, from considering the chosen aircraft type, design characteristics, materials and construction methods.  The pictorial presentation will provide an overview of a typical PSSA Fly for Fun event as well other Association led activities such as Mass Build Events and PSS Aerotowing.
